Concealed Carry : 2-Day, 16 hour Course
Class Location: Alton VFW Post 1308 – 4445 N. Alby | Alton, IL
Start Time: 8:00 a.m., Saturday* & Sunday
End Time: 4:00-4:30 p.m.
Cost: $155 or $95 for Veterans and Active Duty
Food: Lunch is included in the $155 tuition.
FOID Card: No FOID card required
Licensing: This course certifies you with Illinois and optional Florida conceal and carry license. These licenses combined cover 38 states for conceal and carry. Florida is the best non resident permit available.
Instructors: The most experienced in marksmanship and tactical shooting in the business. We have two or three highly qualified instructors at all classes. They have over 145 years of handgun marksmanship and tactical training.
Shooting: Expect to shoot approximately 40 rounds on Sunday, keying on making you an accurate shooter.
Required equipment: 40 rounds of ammo, eye & ear protection, pen & paper, a good attitude about firearm safety. If you do not own a firearm or eye and ear protection, it will be provided for you.
Attire: You will be shooting outdoors on Sunday so dress appropriately. No open-toed shoes/sandals. No low-cut necklines or sleeveless shirts. Attire requirements are for your safety, as semi-automatic pistols throw off hot brass.
Deposit: A $50 deposit is required to hold your spot.
*For Veterans: The Saturday class is optional, however attendance is recommended as it can greatly improve your handgun accuracy and familiarity. If you choose to attend, it can be taken free of charge. Veterans with a DD214 are only $95.00
What you will learn:
- The basics of marksmanship. You may be very surprised at how this improves your shooting, even if you have been at it for years.
- You will learn more than the basics of firearm safety in the home, in the vehicle and on your person.
- Learn how to clean and care for your handgun.
- Get an understanding of ammunition and basic ballistics.
- Learn how to pick the best gun for you and your situation.
- Become familiarized with semi-automatics and both single and double action revolver.
- You will learn to shoot well. If you’re already a shooter, we’ll make you better.
- You will shoot an average of 40 rounds, keying on making you accurate.
- You will have fun!
- YOU WILL LEARN MORE THAN WHAT THE STATE SAYS IS NECESSARY AND WHAT ANY OTHER CLASS TEACHES.
Concealed Carry Renewal: 3 Hour Course

Details: We will spend two hours reviewing the law and then we will shoot 30 rounds of live fire.

Start Time: 9:00 a.m.
End Time: 3:00 p.m.
Cost: $125, $50 deposit
Food: Food is not provided. We will break for lunch.
Instructors: The most experienced in marksmanship and tactical shooting in the business.
Attire: Dress for the weather. Non-collared shirt, Ball Cap. Long pants, knee pads if you have them. No metal piercing but FMJ is okay.
Please bring: AR-15 or similar carbine/rifle, Eye and ear protection, 150 rounds of ammo. Camp chair. Water. Sling. At least two magazines of 10 rounds or more capacity.

Class Location: The Proving Ground Range 15205 U.S. Hwy. 67
Start Time: 8:00 a.m.
End Time: 12:00 p.m.
Cost: $125, $50 deposit
Description: Learn how to fight and win with your handgun in a multitude of live-fire scenarios. This class covers drawing and shooting quickly, accurately and safely. Be the first to get a round on target. Moving and shooting. Shooting from concealment and cover. Shooting using a vehicle for cover. Too many tactics and scenarios to list. This class will be limited to the first 16 people to register. This will be held on a “hot range” meaning guns will be loaded, holstered or firing at all times.” This is a serious class for people serious about learning gun fighting skills. This class is a “must have” for anyone carrying a gun on the street and wants to use it safely and effectively.
